Despite his success, which includes winning New Artist of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for “Good Day” at the 2024 Dove Awards, and multiple nominations in 2025 (including Artist of the Year), Frank stated he felt a strong spiritual boundary needed to be drawn.

“I’m convicted, personally, that a line that I can draw is that I will not receive a trophy for something that is from Jesus and for Jesus,” Frank stated in a social media video. “The trophy is that my name is listed in the Book of Life, and I get to have eternal life. What good is a piece of metal going to do compared to that?”

His “stance of non-participation” was meant to inspire youth to focus on eternal rewards rather than temporary, worldly recognition. The move sparked a wide debate among Christian artists, with some questioning the decision, while others, like the legendary CeCe Winans, publicly respected his personal conviction.
